Brazil Vows $10 Bn For Reconstruction Of Flood-stricken Region

Brazil’s federal government on Thursday vowed some $10 billion for reconstruction of the country’s flood-stricken south, where at least 107 people have died in recent days.

“We are talking about… an injection of resources in the order of 50 billion reais in Rio Grande do Sul,” said Finance Minister Fernando Haddad.
