Breaking New: Travis Kelce’s mum Donna opens up about whether Taylor Swift’s new songs are about star’s new boyfriend

Travis Kelce’s mum Donna opens up about whether Taylor Swift’s new songs are about star’s new boyfriend

Ever since Taylor Swift went public with her latest romance, fans have been swooning. It seems they’re not alone, with her boyfriend’s mum joining in.

Taylor confirmed her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce back in September last year, and it’s been an abundance of cute moments ever since.

I mean, who could forget Taylor celebrating with Travis following the Kansas City Chiefs’ win at the Super Bowl?

And now, fans have even more reason to fall in love with Travlor… or is it Tayvis?

Following the drop of her surprise double-album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, fans have been passionately decoding the 31 songs for references to Taylor’s relationships both past and present.

While it’s now widely assumed many of the songs make reference to her short-lived romance with frontman of The 1975’s Matty Healy, listeners also think many of them are inspired by her relationship with Travis

Songs featured on TTPD that Swifties think Travis inspired include ‘The Alchemy’, in which Taylor sings: “Shirts off, and your friends lift you up, over their heads / Beer stickin’ to the floor, cheers chanted ’cause they said / ‘There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league’ / Where’s the trophy? He just comes, running over to me.”

This is an apparent nod to the celebration on the field.

The second track is ‘So High School’.

An unearthed clip of a younger Travis in 2016 has taken the internet by storm recently – in which he’s asked who he would kiss, marry or kill between Taylor herself, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande. FYI – he chose to kiss Taylor.

The song features the lyric: “Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me (Kill me) / It’s just a game, but really (Really) / I’m bettin’ on all three for us two (All three).”

While there’s no shortage of Swifties in the world – it now appears Travis’ mum, Donna Kelce, has joined the force.

Donna has spoken out about the album, telling People: “I listened to the whole album, and I listened to it all morning long when it was released.

“I was just very impressed. She is a very talented woman, and I think it is probably her best work.”

As for whether she thinks her son is the inspiration behind some of the songs?

Donna told US weekly at QVC’s The Age of Possibility summit in Las Vegas: “I know there are a few [songs] that some people think are about Travis but we’ll just see.”
