NFL icon Travis Kelce has made it known he wants to go into broadcasting once he retires from the league.

Los Angeles Rams legend Eric Dickerson believes that Kelce would be a “great fit” for TV.

“Travis has a great personality,” Dickerson told TMZ.

“He’s a great player. He knows football extremely well.

“He’s won a couple Super Bowls. I don’t think you can lose with that.”

Dickerson was speaking from experience, having made a successful transition from the NFL to the TV booth himself.

The former Rams running back worked as a sideline reporter for Monday Night Football in 2000 and 2001.

During last week’s episode of New Heights, Kelce revealed he would turn down the opportunity to be an NFL owner in favor of a broadcasting career.

“Yes, because I want to broadcast when I’m done playing,” Travis said.

His brother Jason replied: “You want to broadcast. You’re saying that right now, you want to broadcast.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then mimicked an old-timey radio announcer by saying: “‘I want to be right here and tell them about the game, the old ball coach, ladies and gentlemen!’

“I want to do that. I want to be the talking head who calls the games.”

Kelce has already shown his broadcasting prowess with the hugely popular New Heights podcast.
